The Kampala Industrial Business Park is situated in Wakiso (Kira Municipal council) and Mukono Districts and is the largest of the parks currently in operation in Uganda, with an acreage of approximately 2,200 acres. The Park has been subject to a number of studies and reviews over the years and it is recognised by the Government that the development of the park will attract investors, promote employment and benefit the country as a whole.
The inclusion of a Small - Medium Enterprise Zone within the park will cater for this growing sector of Uganda’s economy.
The development of the park will encourage employment in the area both during construction and beyond and the team will work to ensure skills transfer through the construction period and beyond the project.
The team has reviewed all the previous study reports and the current status of the park and has identified the works needed to upgrade the infrastructure across the park. This includes upgrades to roads, water supply, sewerage networks and waste treatment, power, IT and telecoms; which will be upgraded to international standards.
